How to Install

For Best Results

Tools: Heat Gun or Blow Dryer / Padded Glove or Felt Tip Squeegee

1. Rinse / Soap your Rear Tail Lights Turn and Reverse light to get rid of debris before application
2. Peel off one piece of the tail light tint at a time.
3. Note: If you mess up placement, peel off the overlay with ease. DO NOT heat up the overlay until the desired placement has been met.
4. Turn Signal
   
   1. Align the edge (top of overlay that points away from the middle of the bumper (top right or top left depending on which PS or DS you start first))
   2. Align the top of the overlay all the way to the inner line of the trunk and the rest should fall into place
   3. You can also align the side that curves down into the bottom of the tail light then work towards the inner trunk line
   4. Push out bubbles to the closest edge while swiping left and right or up and down.
   5. Depending on how you lay it, it may go into the trunk line and may have to wrap around.
5. Reverse Light
   1. Align at the pointed edge that points towards the middle of the bumper
   2. Tack that edge down and guide the rest of the overlay with your free hand by following the top of the Reverse Light just below the black portion and inside the clear. 
   3. Make sure the clear is covered from top to bottom - use your other hand to lay the overlay while the 2nd hand is guiding where the overlay lays.
   4. Push out bubbles to the closest edge while swiping left and right or up and down.
   5. Depending on how you lay it, it may go into the trunk line and may have to wrap around.
6. Best practice is to tack down one edge of the overlay and use your free hand to guide the rest of the overlay by matching the edges of the reflector all around and check to make sure all of the clear is covered.
7. As you guide the overlay, use your other free hand to lay and swipe the overlay onto the reflector, by pushing out any bubbles towards the closest edge.
8. Once laid the rest of the overlay should fall into place.
   
9. Once the placement is met, PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADHESION
10. If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion
11. If there are bubbles, make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it toward the closest edge
12. If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles.
13. ** REMEMBER TO POST-HEAT** the vinyl after laying, this will activate the glue behind the overlay which will enhance tackiness.
14. NOTE:  Light Smoke has PET liner, which must be peeled off after install for a complete super gloss finish.
