How to Install 2023-2027 Honda Pilot Amber Delete:

Step-by-Step Installation:

1. Clean the Headlight
   Rinse the headlight with soap and water or clean the entire surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt, dust, oils, or debris.
2. Dry the Surface Completely
   Wipe the headlight completely dry. Make sure there is no moisture, dust, lint, or loose fibers remaining on the surface or around the edges.
3. Peel & Position the Amber Delete
   1. Carefully peel the Amber Delete from its backing paper.
   2. Start by aligning the top edge of the Amber Delete just underneath the factory black outline surrounding the headlight. The overlay should sit on the clear portion of the headlight, NOT on top of the black outline or side black outline. Use the inner black outline (line next to clear) as your placement guide.
   3. Once the top edge is properly aligned, gently lay the rest of the overlay onto the headlight. Do not stretch the vinyl.
   4. Check the amber section from multiple viewing angles. The overlay should cover nearly all of the amber. A very small amount may still be visible when looking directly at the headlight from the front.
   5. At the bottom of the headlight, the pointed end of the Amber Delete should sit nearly parallel with the beginning of the DRL. Use this as another guide to confirm proper placement.
   6. Once everything is aligned, gently smooth the overlay down from the center outward. If you see a small air bubble, firmly push it toward the nearest edge until the air escapes.
4. Adjust the Placement if Needed
   If the placement does not look correct, carefully peel the overlay back and reposition it. DO NOT apply heat until you are satisfied with the placement.
5. Smooth the Entire Overlay
   Once the placement is correct, firmly smooth down the entire overlay, working from the center toward the outer edges. Make sure there are no remaining bubbles, wrinkles, or lifted areas.
6. Check All Edges
   Go around the entire Amber Delete and make sure every edge is making full contact with the headlight. Pay extra attention to corners and pointed areas.
7. Remove Small Bubbles if Needed
   For any remaining small bubbles, use your finger or felt-tip squeegee to firmly push the air toward the closest edge. A small amount of gentle heat can help the vinyl conform if necessary.
8. Correct Any Wrinkles Before Final Heating
   If a wrinkle forms, carefully lift that section of the overlay. Apply a small amount of heat to relax the vinyl, allow it to cool slightly, and then gently lay it back down without stretching or pulling it.
9. Final Placement Check
   Before post-heating, check the overlay from several angles one final time. Make sure the amber is properly covered and the overlay is sitting in the correct position.
10. POST-HEAT THE OVERLAY
    Once you are completely satisfied with the installation, use a heat gun or blow dryer to evenly warm the entire overlay, especially around the edges and corners. The vinyl should become hot/warm to the touch, but never scalding.

📌 Reminder: Always post-heat the vinyl after installation. This activates the glue and ensures maximum adhesion.
