🛠️How to Install:

For Best Results
Tools Needed: Heat gun or blow dryer, padded glove or felt-tip squeegee (PROFESSIONAL INSTALL RECOMMENDED, but not required)

Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Rinse the entire rear tail light with 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove all debris before application.

  2. Dry the rear tail light and side reflector completely to ensure there is no dust or residue on the surface or in the crevices.

  3. Begin either on the Driver's Side inner taillight

    1.  Align the tint at the edge that meets the middle plastic trim on the trunk. Tack that edge down and make sure the top of the overlay sits at the edge right before the taillight rounds up to the black curve. Keep in mind the bottom of the overlay will meet the bottom of the taillight housing as well.

    2. Use your free hand and guide the overlay while the other hand smooths the tint down onto the surface in a down and up motion, moving outwards towards the trunk line edge. Ensuring all bubbles are pushed out before laying the entire piece down. If there are bubbles, push it towards the closest edge, and if it wrinkles up, lift up the overlay to the wrinkle. Then heat it slightly and lay it back down, ensuring it is flat against the surface and resmooth.

    3. Once it has aligned, follow steps 6.

  4. Next is to align the larger taillight tint that sits on the fender / rear bumper.

    1. Align the overlay tint at the edge where the trunk line starts, tack down the edge, and make sure the top of the overlay sits just at the edge, right before the taillight rounds up towards the black curve. Keep in mind that the bottom of the overlay will meet the bottom of the taillight housing as well.

    2. Use your free hand to guide the overlay across the flat portion of the taillight, smoothing with your other hand up and down as you move towards the outside of the car.

    3. As you lay the overlay, you will notice the tint stretching towards the curve that rounds down toward the bottom of the bumper. Lay this portion first and smooth it in a crescent shape motion, going upward towards the edge that points at a 90-degree angle towards the tail light reflector. Hold onto the bottom edge of the overlay as you do this, so it semi-stretches the overlay and does not deform the shape as you lay the curve in.

    4. Once the curve and the 90-degree edge is laid, the bottom portion should fall into place, but adjust as needed and smooth the overlay down.

    5. Follow steps 6 once aligned.

  5. Last is to align the rear tail light reflector tint

    1. Make sure the overlay tint covers all the red in different angles as you look at it. It should align at the top and follow the shape of the reflector.

    2. Tack down one edge and use your hand to guide the rest of the overlay, ensuring it meets the tail light overlay so that it becomes one seamless piece.

    3. Once laid and aligned, follow step 6.

  6. Continue laying the overlay till it is smoothed down on all parts of the flat surface (flat area of the reflector that faces you) until the desired placement has been met. (REFER TO PRODUCT PICTURES FOR ACCURATE PLACEMENT)

  7. After laying the flat surface, if there is an overlay hang, use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat up the overlay slightly till you see the overlay tint start to conform to the shape of the reflector. Adjustments may be needed depending on how you install.

  8. Once everything is laid out to your desired outcome, follow the steps below to ensure longevity and adhesion.

  9. Post-heat the vinyl: Use a heat gun or blow dryer to remove small bubbles and activate the adhesive for stronger bonding.

  10. If bubbles remain, press firmly with your finger or squeegee and swipe them out toward the closest edge.

  11. If you make a mistake, gently peel off the overlay right away and reapply. Add light heat to remove wrinkles.

  12. Important: Light Smoke and Gloss Black overlays include a PET liner that must be removed after installation. Dark Smoke may also include a PET liner. If you are unsure, please contact us.

📌 Reminder: Always post-heat the vinyl after installation. This activates the glue and ensures maximum adhesion.
