How to Install DRL / Amber for 2023+ Honda Accord

For Best Results

Tools: Heat Gun or Blow Dyer / Padded Glove or Felt Tip Squeegee

1. The First step is to install the Daytime Running Light Tints:
   
   • Note: if you mess up placement, peel off the overlay with ease. Wait to heat up the overlay until the desired placement has been met.
   • Align DRL at the edge where the DRL starts from the outside curve of the amber. (You will be working from outside of the headlight towards the inner headlight (middle of the bumper).
   • The top of the overlay should sit just at the top of the headlight where as the bottom of the DRL overlay should match the bottom of the NON-illuminated portion of the DRL if you are installing at eye level with the DRL. 
   • Use your free hand to guide the overlay as the other hand adjusts and lays the overlay onto the DRL.
   • Lift as needed to get the desired placement and push out any bubbles as you lay or lift and relay till the bubbles are gone. 
   • Once you get to the inner part of the DRL, make sure the light does not show through when you stand in front of your car, just as it shows on our PRODUCT PAGE.
   • Depending on how you install the overlay, it may sit higher above the DRL or slightly below, adjust as you see fit!
   • TAKE your time and adjust, as this material is forgiving. Lift and adjust till  your desired placement is met.
   • Rinse / Soap your headlight to get rid of debris prior to application
   • Dry your headlights to ensure that there is no dust specs on the surface of the headlights as these overlays are DRY INSTALL.
   • Follow step 3 to finish the DRL portion of the install.
2. The Second step is to Install the Amber deletes:
• Note: if you mess up placement, peel off the overlay with ease. Wait to heat up the overlay until the desired placement has been met.
• Align the top of the overlay at the edge of the headlight and follow the top edge of the headlight curve, make sure the front of the amber delete curve touches the DRL OVERLAY; this ensures no amber will shine through the amber delete.
• The front of the Amber delete that faces the "DRL-Day Time Running Lights" should sit just behind the DRL that faces towards the amber.
• Lay the overlay slowly from the top of the overlay and move downward in a horizontal fashion, once you get to the curve, there will be some stretching the overlay to ensure it fits without any bubbles.
• Lift the overlay as needed to push out the wrinkles until it sits flush against the headlight amber.
• Next follow step 3 BELOW
3. Once placement is met, PLEASE FOLLOW BELOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADHESION.

• • If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion.
  • If there are bubbles make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it toward the closest edge.
  •  If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles.
  • ** REMEMBER TO POST-HEAT** the vinyl after laying, this will activate the glue behind the overlay which will enhance tackiness.
  • NOTE: Smoked and Light Smoke have PET liner, must be peeled off after install for a complete super gloss finish.
