How to Install

For Best Results

Tools: Heat Gun or Blow Dyer / Padded Glove or Felt Tip Squeegee

1. Rinse / Soap your steering wheel bottom surface or use a 70% isopropyl alcohol spray for a quick clean and immediate dry.
2. Peel off rav4 steering wheel bottom overlay.
3. Note: If you mess up placement, peel off the overlay easily. DO NOT heat up the overlay until you have achieved the desired placement.
4. The surface where the overlay is to be applied is a bit curved upward, so make sure you align the bottom portion of the overlay next to the edge with a groove just before the chrome piece.
5. Once you align the emblem properly by starting from the bottom portion of the emblem overlay, lay the middle portion down and smooth it to the top of the MIDDLE portion that goes directly straight towards the inside of the steering wheel.
6. Once the middle portion is smoothed, the sides of the overlay that flare UPWARD will most likely fall into place. If it does not, adjust the overlay slightly and it should sit at the groove or slightly over.
7. Take caution that each side of the emblem overlay (top, bottom, left and right side) of the overlay will meet or slightly go over the surface. If it does go over by a bit, use your fingernail and slide your nail along the sides of the emblem to fold the wrap into the crevice.
8. You may also use a heat gun to heat the edges a tiny bit until you see the wrap shrink just a little and it will be easy to wrap around the curves.
9. However, if you lay it without pulling and adjusting the overlay, it should sit flush or a bit over the applied area.
   
10. Lay the overlay and adjust until the desired placement is met
11. Once the placement is met, PLEASE FOLLOW BELOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADHESION
12. If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion
    
13. If there are bubbles make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it toward the closest edge
14. If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles.
15. ** REMEMBER TO POST-HEAT** the vinyl after laying, this will activate the glue behind the overlay which will enhance tackiness.
